What a great day it was for our pack Pinewood Derby yesterday. We hope that everyone enjoyed the event. We would like to congratulate all of our scouts that participated as everyone did a great job on their cars.

Our pack is going to participate in the annual Veteran’s Day Parade in Lakeland again this Saturday, November 5th. Park in the parking lot on Lemon Street just North of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. We will meet on Lemon Street (which will be closed to traffic at Dakota Street) on the North side of the Lakeland Center Arena between 9:30 and 10:00am. Just look for all of the scouts in uniform and our pack number 713. We will be lined up behind the Polk County Sheriffs near the front of the parade. We have a pack banner and plenty of US flags for our scouts to pass out to the crowd. This is a great opportunity for your scout to participate in a patriotic salute to our servicemen and women. The parade route is not that long to walk and it should be a great day to be outside anyway. Once we reach our destination at Munn Park, there will be lots of activities for everyone to enjoy.

Our annual Space Derby is scheduled for December 10 in the Parish Hall. Rocket kits can be picked up from your Den Leader if you missed the October Pack Meeting.
